The Blue Paint

There's a story behind John Boothroyd's preparing of the record room:

According to John Boothroyd, "One Sunday, I was painting the room a very deep blue (after all, it was the 70's!). I wanted to reach the wall without moving the ladder, so I tried to stand with one foot on the ladder and the other on the stainless steel sink, which was left in the room. I hit a wet spot on the sink, and I lost my balance. I fell about 5 feet on my butt...then the entire gallon of paint landed square on my head!!!!"

According to Joe Magno and Russ Arena, it was quite a sight. John Boothroyd had bright red hair which really clashed with the blue paint. While John was glad it was a weekend and very few people could see him in this predicament, Joe Magno did have a 35mm camera and took an embarrassing picture, which we've been trying to track down. For some reason, that's proven elusive.
