Organizational ChartsIn 1974, a Manager/Director system was created at WAVM. The system established a clearcut chain of command to ease communication dilemnas among the students. The Manager/Director system's infrastructure was also similar to that of a corporate radio station, adding to 91.7 a real life flavor of the medium.The following is how the station was organized and who assumed each position for WAVM's first year of operation:
Since 1974, this organizational system has changed to accomodate the changing face of WAVM, but the significant differences have mainly been the quantity of directorships as the station grew in projects and number of members. Return to Early Years in Radio
