W.A.V.M. interviews Celtics (1995)
Mike Guiney and Billy West represented W.A.V.M. at the recent Boston Celtics media day at Brandies University. There are many question marks involving this year's Celtics team under rookie coach M.L. Carr. Mike and Billy interviewed as well as taped several Celtics including newcomer Dana Baros(sic) and Captain Dee Brown. The interviews will be shown on W.A.V.M.-T.V. 61.
The intrepid reporters from Tigertown found the players to be very cooperative and not at all surly or intimidating. West said that he was a tad nervous when he went to interview his first subject, Greg Minor. However, Minor put Mr. West at ease and told him to just relax. West and Guiney noted that Eric Montross was particularly friendly and introduced them to the other players. The second-year Montross said his favorite out-of-town place to play was Indianapolis because he is a native Hoosier.
Sherman Douglas was very pleasant and cooperative particularly in light of pending trade rumors. Douglas said he kept in shape by running while Dino Radjou (sic) worked on exercise equipment.
All of the players said they were happy to be playing in a new facility with state-of-the-art locker room and training areas. All were cautiously optimistic about the up-coming season while they will have many questions for the lads in green.
Nice professional job by Messrs. Guiney and West.
