Owen Leach
This is Owen's fourth telethon and first year as a host, after being heavily involved and well versed in behind the scenes work. It will be quite a change to be in front of the camera this year, but we all have the fullest confidence in him. "I love being with my friends, staying up all night,
Owen's greatest memory so far is when a huge storm cancelled the first day of the telethon and caused chaos in the world WAVM. Re-planning the telethon in a few short hours was a real accomplishment. Outside of school, Owen does a bit of everything including hockey, soccer, track, band, chorus, the musicals, a capella, wind ensemble, and jazz band. Owen is also a boy scout. This year Owen hopes to get a life changing experience that he will take with him forever. The fact that he has helped needy families this holiday makes the telethon more worth while for him.

Owen Leach is 16 and a junior here at Maynard High
School. He has been in WAVM for five years and in the past was
Control Room Director, TV-8 Programming Manager, and this year is Live
Sports General Manager.
