We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this year's telethon. We greatly appreciate it!

Every year, WAVM holds a forty-hour telethon dedicated to raising money for the less fortunate in Massachusetts who receive the Beacon Villager newspaper. WAVM is an entirely student-run radio and TV station located in Maynard High School! The Beacon Villager Newspaper has sponsored this anticipated event since its commencement, and has continued to support us and to support this wonderful cause..

Last year, WAVM raised nearly $30,000 to help the needy.  Each year, we strive not only to top last year's total, but put on an even better show than before. We have everything: auctions, live bands, game shows and even cooking during the telethon. WAVM's viewers continually increases each and every year. Last year, with the cooperation of our neighboring local access channels, and the help of on-line broadcasting, we were able to reach overseas, as far as London and Australia.

This year we will be broadcasting live on local access Comcast channels 8 and 10 and Verizon Fios channel 28.  Tune in this December 9th, 10th, and 11th for a weekend of working towards a greater good in what will be our most important, and exciting year yet.
